It derives its name from the fact that it is located on the corner of Second Street NE and Georgia Avenue, and that the original building is the cornerstone upon which Good Shepherd, Inc. evolved to serve the needs of the elderly and frail in North Iowa. The first floor of this building was tastefully remodeled into 18 one-bedroom apartments. Fifteen more apartments were added in June of 2005 on the second floor. A second floor guest room is available for families to rent for longer visits at $40/night by calling Cornerstone at 424-1740.
