| Our History |
 Good Shepherd, Inc., Mason City, was incorporated in 1946 as a not-for-profit health care corporation to serve the long term care needs of the elderly and frail in North Iowa. It is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and is governed by a local volunteer board of director. |

| Telephone Reassurance |
 Good Shepherd, Inc. has offered a free Telephone Reassurance program since 1975 to any North Iowa senior who lives alone and wants a daily reassuring call. The calls takes place anytime between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. every day of the week. They offer reassurance to family members who live apart and can't consistently check on the senior citizen.
